General Submission Requirements and Judging Criteria

Submissions must be received by January 18, 2019. 

You may enter as many projects from your company that fit the criteria for a category; however, each project may only be submitted in one category.  Previously submitted projects/transactions are eligible. The project/transaction submitted should have been substantially completed between 1/1/2018 and 12/31/2018.

Developer/Owner of the Year Awards:

The winner will be selected based on but not limited to: number of projects/transactions, significance of projects/transactions, creativity, economic impact and community impact.  Please address all aforementioned criteria. Submissions should encompass all projects/transactions substantially completed by the developer/owner within the 2018 calendar year.

Broker of the Year Awards: 

The winner will be selected based on but not limited to: number and significance of deals, creativity and transaction structure, size (both square footage and monetary value) of deals, community involvement and philanthropic efforts. Submissions should describe at least one notable deal in detail and should address all aforementioned criteria. Submissions should also include total number of deals and size of deals (square footage and monetary value) completed by the broker within the 2018 calendar year.

People’s Choice Design of the Year Award:

New for 2019, NAIOP Award Dinner attendees will select the winner via live voting during dinner. Submissions should be sourced by an architect, space planner, interior designer, etc. Submissions should include but are not limited to: any interior space design, building design, redevelopment, etc.

An image of each project or transaction must be emailed to naiopindiana@gmail.com in jpeg format and minimum 300 dpi as part of your submission.  Examples include: photo of development, photo of the building where the deal was completed, renderings, site plans, floor plans, location map, specifications, etc.
